Commission Period
Choose Daily, Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly, or Bimonthly commission periods. For Weekly and Biweekly, you can specify the day of the week which commissions are calculated. For Monthly and Bimonthly, you can specify the date of the month which commissions are calculated.

Commission Method

For Commissions, you can either consider the creation of an invoice, the finalization of the invoice, or the amount of payment on the invoice.

Calculation Base
There are two different ways you can calculate commissions in RMPro. First of all is the traditional method of calculating all the sales made by a specific salesperson. Then there’s also totaling the entire company’s sales and dividing it among the salespeople. If this is the company’s preference, then the company must meet a Gross Profit Quota in order to consider commissions for that period.

Designer Commissions
If this option is ON then the designer commission will be deducted from the Commissionable Amount before calculating the salesperson commissions.

Minimum per Period When this option is selected, then commissions will only be considered when the total company sales for that period are at least this specified amount. If the company sales for this period do not meet this minimum, then commissions are not paid for that period

  Individual Configuration
Each individual salesperson can be given an  unique commission structure. The list of users can be filtered to show only sales reps or all users, and can also be filtered to show only active users or all users. A green dollar icon next to each users means that those users have commissions enabled.

Sales Markup Range

First of all, you have an option of whether or not this user is allowed any commissions at all. Users will only be considered for commissions if they are enabled in this setup. RMPro will let you choose for each user whether to total the amount of all their sales and then calculate, or calculate for each item sold and then total those results.

You can further configure each user to base commission calculations on the total amount of sales or the total amount of gross profit. You won’t want to pay commissions if not enough profit was made.

Finally, you create a set of ranges. If commissions are set to be based on Gross Profit, then you have the ability to create ranges of percentages. Otherwise, these ranges are in total dollar amount. When a user falls under one of these specific ranges, then they are given either a percentage of commission or a specific dollar amount of commission, as specified to the right side of that range.

You have the ability to specify whether or not to consider charges for commissions. Every charge, whether general or item related, has a property associated with it specifying whether the charge is commissionable or not. If so, then you can further configure each charge for a certain percentage. All charges which can produce commissions are listed in the setup. Commissions will not be applied to any charges unless they have been added to the commission setup and have been set a percentage.

Each user has some additional options to be specified. First of all, you can limit this user to receive commissions ONLY if they produced a certain percentage of gross profit. If they do not meet this gross profit, then they will not be paid commissions. However, you do have the option to specify if the user does NOT meet this gross profit threshold, then they can receive a minimum alternative commission instead.

When a customer returns an item , you most likely want to reverse the salesperson’s commissions.. In this case, RMPro has options of how to handle such returns. First of all, if an item is returned within the number of specified return days, then this commission is subject to be returned from the salesperson. The specified percentage of the total commission amount will be considered returned. So if this is set to 100%, then the entire commissions made for this item will be returned if the item has been returned. If this is set to 50%, then half of the commissions made will be returned. If the return occurred after the number of specified return days, then the commissions will not be returned.

Since the setup allows you to specify what commissions your users will be getting, calculations become a breeze.

When the time comes to pay commissions for the period, everything gets calculated with the click of one button.  A new commission payment period will be created and all the sales within that period will be calculated into the Commissions module. Each user who needs to be paid commissions will be listed at the top of the screen, along with their individual settings.
Selecting a user will display a list of invoices being counted towards their commissions.
